Discover Ireland song to be released

Ever watched that Discover Ireland telly advert and wondered what the tune was? The answer is 'Highs And Lows' by The Laundry Shop - and it's being released as a single.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 10 May 2007

The Dublin-based band, formed from the ashes of Angels Of Mon, comprise of Stephen Robinson (vocals/guitars), Denise Roxenhamn (bass) and Col Keegan (drums). The trio will capitalise on the TV exposure by releasing the single on June 8.

To preview it and show that they've plenty more tunes up their collective sleeves, they've also lined up gigs at Fibber Magee's, Dublin (May 12) and The Hub, Dublin (18 May).

One to watch out for? We think so.

Highs And Lows

Featuring former Angels Of Mons man Stephen Robinson, the track ‘Highs And Lows’ has travelled with him in a re-recorded form. The racing refrain, which Foo Fighters fans would just scream like little girls for, will be familiar as the snippet used in the Discover Ireland ad. With the full song, you’re not missing much – the line “All these highs and lows” is repeated no less than 22 times in its two minutes, leaving room for little else.
