Precious mettle
Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory of GOLDFRAPP giggle through tales of childhood, nasty previous employment and big bassoons in our video interview
So you might know them from that mobile phone advert - having said that, what new band doesn't have a mobile phone advert these days. Or, you might have seen them open for Nick Cave if you were lucky enough to catch any of the Small Dark Lord's European dates. But if you're really lucky, you just know Goldfrapp from their splendid Alpine-cool debut album, Felt Mountain, released late last summer - or, perhaps, from their spectacular, whip-cracking, eardrum-disheveling Valentine's Day performance in the Temple Bar Music Centre earlier this year.
Here, then, is your chance to meet the diva herself up close, if you think you're hard enough, as well as her nearly-silent partner, in Hot Press' video interview. Will Gregory: soft-spoken and clip-on-shades-tastic. Alison Goldfrapp: pirate's-best headwrap (black); excellent New York Dolls T-shirt (bone-chilling ice-blue); huge deadly cutlass (not pictured).
