Usher Drops New Politically Charged Video 'Chains'
Nas and Bibi Bourelly feature on the track
Usher has released an updated video for 'Chains', featuring Nas and Bibi Bourelly.
The original 'Chains' footage was an interactive video on Tidal released in 2015. It showed photographs of victims who had been killed due to police brutality and urged viewers to not look away.
Just before a picture of Trayvon Martin appeared on the screen, a message reads, "While racial injustice keeps killing, society keeps looking away. Walking home from a store, Trayvon was profiled as a potential criminal by a neighbour armed with a gun, The man shot Trayvon dead. He was found not guilty."
The updated version continues with the theme of police harassment and brutality, as Usher is followed by the police and shot. The R&B singer is shown attending his own funeral, with mourning guests in a church.Watch Usher's 'Chains' featuring Nas below.
