Thin Lizzy to support Guns N' Roses
The rock giants will play together this summer.
Thin Lizzy have been announced as support for Guns N' Roses on their May 17 visit to The O2, Dublin. The Ricky Warwick-fronted outfit has been packing out venues across the UK and Europe this year following on from a slew of successful US shows.
Axl has never made a secret of his love of Lizzy and sports a 'Black Rose' tattoo on his upper arm. He even loaned out guitarist Richard Fortus to the band last year when Vivian Campbell returned to the Def Leppard fold. Former Alice Cooper man Damon Johnson has since filled the slot as a permanent member.
Chatting to Hot Press recently, Warwick confirmed that Lizzy are working on new material (see Thursday’s issue for more details). Guns N' Roses are also reportedly hard at work on the follow-up to 2008’s Chinese Democracy, and getting ready for their hall Of Fame induction in April.
Tickets are priced €65.45, and are on sale now.
