The Skin We're In cover Achtung Baby

With the 20th anniversary of Achtung Baby fast approaching (November 19, calendar fans), Northern Irish band The Skin We're In have taken it upon themselves to re-record the entire thing and release it online.

The tribute album will be unveiled track-by-track – from November 8, a song a day will be streamed, with the full thing available on November 19. You'll find there are some familiar elements to certain songs while others have been given a complete reworking. 

The album was recorded over a two week period and is performed and produced by Cricky Markey who describes the album as having a massive influence on him as a songwriter, performer and musician.

The Skin We're In will be releasing a new single/album early in 2012. A few nationwide live dates have been pencilled in to coincide with the release.
