The supergroup release new LP Post Pop Depression on March 18th
Last night on US TV Iggy Pop and Josh Homme unveiled their new super group featuring Matt Helders of Arctic Monkeys and Dean Fertita of Queens of the Stone Age. The group performed ‘Gardenia’ from their upcoming LP Post Pop Depression due out on March 18th.
In an interview before they performed on Colbert, Pop and Homme discuss how the LP was recorded in complete secrecy in Homme's studio in Joshua Tree, California and was finished over a three-week period.
The two began working on the LP last January, 15 and funded the project themselves "We paid for whatever ourselves," Pop said. "But it was made to be heard — not to be some quirky thing that we did with our own money."
The group intend to hit the road on a small tour in support of the record but no dates has yet been confirmed.
