Irish rap documentary for Jameson Film Fest
Broken Song features GI, Costello and Willa Lee...
An Irish documentary about Dublin record label Workin' Class Records and rappers GI, Costello and Willa Lee will be premiered at next month's Jameson Film Festival.
Directed by Claire Dix and shot by Richard Kendrick, the film was funded by the Reel Arts Scheme; an initiative set up by the Arts Council to allow filmmakers make creative, imaginative and experimental documentaries, on an artistic theme.
GI is a rapper and producer from Finglas. As well as releasing his own album Underworld last year, he produced both Lethal Dialect albums (LD50 - 1 and 2), as well as Costello's Illosophical. Soul singer Willa Lee features on the excellent LD track 'Get To My Dreams', below.
