RIP: Eric Kitteringham
The former Taste bassist has passed away.
Hot Press were deeply saddened this afternoon to learn of the death of Eric Kitteringham at the age of 66.
A renowned bassist, he completed the rhythm section alongside Norman Damery in the first incarnation of Rory Gallagher's Taste.
A big presence in the Cork scene during the '60s, he began with Damery in The Axels, before going on to make history with Gallagher over the course of two years, during which time they played at home and in many of The Beatles' old Hamburg haunts.
