Apparently taking influence from Kanye West's "Good Fridays" approach to dropping a new track every Friday, Kendrick brings out 'Humble' after last week's 'The Heart Pt. 4'.
One thing you can say about the man is that he puts his resources to good use. The visuals for 'Humble' features some impressive footage. Starting off with Lamar dressed in a religious outfit, following up with a crowd of black men, money shots, the last supper and ending with him leaving church.
Continuing in the same vein as To Pimp A Butterfly, K-Dot raps about the contrasts between his life now and his previous life in poverty-stricken Compton.
The chorus describes his efforts to stay "humble" in the wake of all his critical and commerical acclaim. The last supper scene shows Lamar keeping his rapper colleagues in check as they consume the wealthy banquet on the table.
In 'Humble', Kendrick once again makes reference to previous and future releases. "Left stroke" refers to 'The Heart Part 4', which came out last Friday, while "His right stroke" could refer to an upcoming album or could be intended as a diss.

This won’t be the last you’ll hear from Lamar. To echo the final words from 'The Heart: “Y’all got till April the 7th to get y’all shit together.”
