A GOLDEN TIME for Villagers at Cork Opera House! Irish indie folk band Villagers and the musical project of the sole long-term member, Conor O'Brien continue to mature like a fine wine. At Cork Opera House last night the Dublin native gave a glimpse of his current vintage as the band were in town on the latest leg of their Irish tour. Its now fourteen years since Villagers debut album 'Becoming a Jackal' release and 2024 saw their sixth incarnation ‘That Golden Time’. The lyrics and music of this project carry on their all now familiar tradition of thought providing vision.

Support on the night was from Canadian composer, violinist, keyboardist, and vocalist Owen Pallett.
