The night kicked off with the exceptionally talented Glasgow singer Michael McGovern. He immediately built a rapport with the audience with his poetic lyrics, fingerpicking style and Scottish wit'.

The Cork Opera House is a formidable space, yet the Mac Gloinn brothers, Brían and Diarmuid, transformed the theatre into a cosy snug in your favourite Backstreet pub and on a cold wintery night they served up a treat to warm the heart. The brothers were as usual joined by an formidable ensemble, including Caimin Gilmore on double bass, Gareth Quinn Redmond on violin and Alain McFadden on harmonium, mandolin, guitar and vocals. Showcasing their January released album 'All Tied Together' Ye Vagabonds have evolved from folk revivalists into master architects of their own sound.
