Jack L, one of Ireland's most distinctive performers, takes you to another world. The theatrical atmosphere was immediately apparent. Jack L has always operated somewhat outside of the traditional "live gig" framework, and his intuition was spot on in this particular situation. The show swung between near-cabaret intensity, smoky jazz textures, and melancholy balladry, all supported by a coherent and flexible group. It always felt seamless, with each change building on an already captivating experience and making it even more engaging.
