Track of The Day: BARQ – Not Touching (Can't Get Mad)
The self-described Agrosoul group are back from nearly a year-long hiatus with a belter.
Dublin mainstays BARQ have today released the high-energy lead single from their forthcoming EP, 'Not Touching (Can't Get Mad)'.
The band are back from a year-long hiatus, in which they spent time writing and recording the as-yet untitled EP. Comprised of singer Jess Kav, bassist Neil Dorrington, drummer Tommy Gray, and guitarist Stephen McHale, BARQ coined the term "agrosoul" to describe their unique sound. While their signature intensity is still at the fore of 'Not Touching', the new single sees them make a delightful foray into something distinctly disco-infused.
"I'm incredibly proud of our new music," says frontwoman Jess Kav. 'Not Touching (Can't Get Mad)' is a belter of a track about desire, sex and love. Listen to the song below, and keep an eye out for their EP in the near future.
