West Cork singer-songwriter Dáithí Shanahan shares video for 'The Barmaid's Lament'

Following the release of his 'The Barmaid's Lament' in November 2020, Dáithí Shanahan has returned today with the long-awaited music video for the single.
Made up of stark shots of the sea and the land, the video powerfully complements the raw, earthy spirit of the track – on which the West Cork singer-songwriter plays the shruti box, guitar, bodhrán and tin whistle, alongside his vocals.
'The Barmaid's Lament' follows the 2019 track 'Cowboy', which boasted a brilliantly bizarre video of its own.
Dáithí has become a familiar face on the live circuit, following notable support slots for Junior Brother and First Class & Coach.
His latest video offers another compelling insight into one of the Irish alternative folk community's most enigmatic yet arresting voices.
