West Cork native Eve Clague announces debut album and shares first single 'City Lights'
The debut features eight tracks and was recorded live over two days in Wavefield Studios in West Cork
Clonakilty born Eve Clague is set to release her debut album Caught in Words on November 14, 2024. The debut features eight tracks and was recorded live over two days in Wavefield Studios in West Cork. The first single from the album, ‘City Lights’, is out now.
Since releasing her first EP Young Naive Me, Clague has developed a unique sound pairing acoustic instrumentation and airy orchestral components.
“I wanted to capture the richness of live instruments playing together,” she explains, “and it was an incredibly fun process working with guest musicians to bring each song to life.”
The songs featured on the album have been out in the world for a period of time already, performed by Eve at various venues across Ireland. "These songs have been with me for a long time, and I wanted to record them so I can move forward, explore new creativity, and write new material.”
Eve was part of our Hot Press Lockdown Sessions in May 2020. Live streaming from her home for an exclusive intimate performance.
You can catch Eve play in her upcoming gigs in Cork and Limerick,
Coughlan’s Live Music Venue, Cork City – October 6, 2024
The Corner House, Cork City – November 16, 2024
Cleary's Window Sessions, Newcastle West, Limerick – November 28, 2024
