WATCH: Pixies release stop-motion video for 'Classic Masher'
Bassist Paz Lenchantin directs the latest single from The Pixies new album Head Carrier.
"Mephistopheles, the mocking and sarcastic devil behind every classic masher ... Besides that, who doesn't like a talking piano," Lenchantin, who directed short films and videos prior to joining Pixies, said of the video in a statement.
The Pixies cancelled their promotional cycle for Head Carrier back in September when guitarist Joey Santiago entered a rehabilitation facility to deal with drug and alcohol issues, forcing the group to delay appearances tied to the album.
However, Santiago's approximately 30-day stay officially ended in late October as Pixies performed four southern California warm-up shows before embarking on a European tour that stretches across November and December.
Pixies will play 8 sold-out shows in the UK this month as part of the European Tour. Their new album Head Carrier is out now.
