Watch: Pink Floyd's 'The Great Gig in the Sky' performed for first time since 2006
At a David Gilmour show in Pompeii
At a solo show in Pompeii, Pink Floyd's David Gilmour brushed off 'The Great Gig in the Sky', the immaculate closer to side one of The Dark Side of the Moon.
It was the song's first performance by a Pink Floyd member since 2006. Gilmour has broken out little-performed favorites throughout this tour, including the first performance of 'One of These Days' in 22 years.
Pompeii was also the location of Pink Floyd's beloved 1972 documentary film Live at Pompeii.
Watch a performance of the song below, taken from a concert shortly after the recent Pompeii date.
