Glen Hansard has released his new single ‘High Hope’, hailing from the upcoming album Don+t Settle - Transmissions West, due out this Friday, June 26 via Plateau/Secretly Distribution.
The upcoming release marks the second volume of his new album Don+t Settle Transmissions East & West , and includes additional singles ‘Revelate’ and ‘Her Mercy’.
“‘High Hope’ is a kind of promise,” Hansard explains. “A plan to circle back at some specific future place and time, it’s also an admission that maybe the timing wasn’t right. I hope we’ll meet again under better circumstances kinda thing.”

Recorded over two nights last year in Berlin's Funkhaus - a historic former radio facility - Don+t Settle Transmissions East & West 's 20-song track list features live reinterpretations of songs from across Hansard’s career. It includes materials from his four solo albums, his work with The Frames, and The Swell Season, a collaboration with his Once co-star Markéta Irglová.
The first volume was released in April and rated an 8/10 by Hot Press, who called it a “powerful and spellbinding listen.”
Hansard recently wrapped a European & UK headline tour in support of the first volume. He has several remaining dates, including an in-store performance and signing at Tower Records in Dublin on July 1, and a show at Trinity College in Dublin on July 2 as part of Trinity's Summer Series.
