WATCH: Pierce Brosnan channels Gerry Adams inspiration in the trailer for The Foreigner
The resemblance between the two is uncanny.
The trailer for the action-packed, eagerly-anticipated IRA thriller starring Pierce Brosnan and Jackie Chan has been released. However, it’s not the dramatic storyline that has grabbed viewers’ attention, rather the uncanny resemblance of Pierce Brosnan’s character to Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams.
In ‘The Foreigner’, Brosnan plays an ex-IRA member turned politician Liam Hennessy who is determined to hide the truth about the bomb that killed Chan’s characters daughter.
Though the resemblance of course may be purely coincidental, it’s safe to say it’s pretty obvious where the actor drew his inspiration from.
Check out the trailer for ‘The Foreigner’ below:
The Foreigner, directed by Martin Campbell is set for release later this year.
