WATCH: Madness premiere the video for 'Mr. Apples'
It's been three years since Madness last released any new music, but today the iconic English ska band have released the video for their new song 'Mr. Apples'.
The video shows Madness frontman "Suggs" as a therapist in conversation with Mr. Apples, by day a pontificating, moralistic man, by night a lecherous gambler.
There's something very reminiscent of older songs like "Embarrassment" in the way this new track satirises its devoutly religious eponymous character. The Birmingham band have never been afraid of treating serious topics - or serious people - with humour and it makes for the catchy, enjoyable hits we've grown to love them for.
