Following South Carolina church shooting, West speaks out against the terror of racism in the U
Headlining the Hot 107.9's Birthday Bash in Atlanta on Saturday night, West used his position to condemn the shooting of nine black people by a 21-year-old white man in Charleston last Wednesday June 17.
In a captivating freestyle rap accompanied by a piano, West repeatedly stated "Don't let them make you believe that I'm crazy, I'm not crazy"
Following on from this, West went on to rap "See that's the magic of racism, it works on itself / We hate each other, screw each other, kill each other / When we can't kill nobody else," West said before continuing, "See that's the magic of lack of resources, it works on itself / 500 niggas getting pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-pop-popped, and North Carolina didn't help / See that's the magic of racism, it works on itself."
This protest rap comes ahead of his headlining of Glastonbury Festival this weekend, Saturday June 27.
