James Blunt has just released the video for his new single ‘Love Me Better’, which is taken from his fifth studio album due out in March.
The song shows James Blunt in a new light, thanks in part to Ryan Tedder’s fresh and modern pop production. The track is taken from James Blunt’s new album, ‘The Afterlove’, which will be released on 24 March. As Hot Press revealed earlier this week, Blunt’s fans will no doubt be excited to learn that he has collaborated with Ed Sheeran on his fifth studio album.
James Blunt's new album is the follow-up to ‘Moon Landing’, which reached platinum status in the UK, spending 33 weeks in the UK Top 40 and selling over 1.2 million copies worldwide since its release in 2013.
One fan has noted on YouTube that the new song sounds “so Ed Sheeran”. Along with Ed Sheeran, James Blunt worked with a wide range of talent on the new album, including, Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran, Shannon Saunders), Johnny McDaid (Example, Biffy Clyro), Stephan Moccio (Miley Cyrus, The Weeknd) and MoZella (Miley Cyrus, One Direction).
James Blunt will also be embarking on a UK headline tour, 'The Afterlove Tour', which includes a date at London’s Eventim Apollo. This is the first tour for James following his extensive Moon Landing Tour, which saw him perform over 140 shows across the world over the course of 12 months and started at Dublin’s Vicar Street in Feb 2014 and also saw him play 3Arena in November 2014.
To date, James Blunt has sold over 20 million albums worldwide and 12.8 million singles. He’s also amassed over 625 million views on YouTube and over 680 million global streams on streaming platforms.
