Check out the Irish Lion's 'The Death Of Cuchulain'.
With Dublin bidding to be the European Capital of Culture 2020, one of the city's favourite sons gave his support to the cause on Friday by performing a new tune in a number of locations around the capital, including WB Yeats’ Cottage in Howth, Dublin Writers Museum, the Abbey Theatre and the Martello Tower at Sandymount.
Directors Jonathan Lambert and Dean Scurry captured it all for posterity. The tune itself is inspired by WB Yeats' classic poem 'The Death Of Cuchulain', from which it takes its name and a number of lines.
Damien Dempsey’s support is part of an ongoing Dublin2020 campaign which will culminate in October, when European Capital of Culture Judges will arrive in Dublin to evaluate this competition.
