Watch: Controversial new Sia video starring Shia laBeouf

Throughout her career, Sia has shied away from the camera, choosing to employ actors to appear in videos instead of her own good self.
Her latest single, 'Elastic Heart', features Hollywood A-lister turned cause célèbre Shia LaBeouf and 12-year-old Maddie Ziegler wrestling (more dancing, to be fair) in a cage, in a state of near undress; unsurprisingly, it has provoked quite a reaction amongst fans.
Responding to claims that the video is inappropriate and is paedophilic, the Australian musician - who also directed the promo - took to Twitter to defend the piece.

I apologize to those who feel triggered by #ElasticHeart My intention was to create some emotional content, not to upset anybody. ?

She also explained that the concept behind the video was that the actors represent two 'warring Sia self states', and that she felt LaBeouf and Dance Moms star Ziegler were two of the only actors who could play the roles.
