Volume 2
Deschanel and Ward return for a delectable sequel
Normally when a Hollywood type decides they’re tired of treading the boards and packs in acting for a career in music it all ends up going horribly wrong. Cheerfully bucking that trend is Zooey Descahanel’s She & Him, and alongside her partner in crime M. Ward, she has created a world of her very own. Making the kind of music that’s reminiscent of 50s era coffin-pop tunes (think ‘Tell Laura I Love Her’ and you’re close) Volume 2 is equal parts Patsy Cline and Richie Valens and 100 per cent fun.
