Vladimir Jablokov announces extra date for his Christmas show at The Convention Centre

Violinist Vladimir Jablokov has announced an extra date on December 18 for his Viennese Christmas show at The Convention Centre in Dublin.

The date comes in addition to his already-announced December 19 performance.

The Jablokov family, joined by a full orchestra and choir, dancers and guest soloists including soprano Ioana Constantin Pipelea and tenor Sean Costello, will take the stage to perform the annual show.

This year brings a new 'Showtime Edition' of the production.

"For 2026, the show takes on a new energy, with a greater role for the dancers and staging that brings movement, glamour and spectacle to the stage, while keeping everything audiences have come to love about Viennese Christmas," according to a press release.

The programme includes music such as 'The Blue Danube', 'Can-Can', 'Fairytale of New York' and 'O Holy Night', alongside several surprise pieces.

Jablokov's Viennese Christmas started with a small group of musicians in 2008, expanding after he brought over his family ensemble from Slovakia in 2009. The production then moved to 3Arena from 2022 - 2024. Over the years, the show has been seen by more than 70,000 people in Ireland. The group now perform at the Convention Centre.

The December 19 date is a matinee show beginning at 3 pm - for which tickets are already available. The December 18 show begins at 7:30 pm.
