Villagers and Wallis Bird to play the first Ruby Sessions At Home gig
The Ruby Sessions are back.
The Ruby Sessions have been among the many casualties of event cancellations and restrictions amid coronavirus fears. Earlier this month the legendary Dublin sessions were forced to cancel their regular Tuesday night sessions for just the second time in their 21 years. Now, however, the weekly sessions are back, with Ruby Sessions At Home – live-streaming two special guests every Tuesday at 9pm, on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Like the regular sessions, they'll also be raising money for Dublin Simon Community.
Kicking off proceedings tonight, March 31, is Villagers and Wallis Bird.
THE RUBY SESSIONS IS BACK! 📣

Since opening their doors in 1999, the Ruby Sessions have welcomed a dazzling selection of emerging and established talent – including Ed Sheeran, Mumford & Sons, Hozier, Glen Hansard, Damien Rice, George Ezra, Paul Brady, James Blunt, Lisa Hannigan, The Corrs, Damien Dempsey, The Coronas, Donal Lunny, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Picture This and Gavin James, to name a few.
The Ruby Sessions have appealed for anyone who enjoys the weekly sessions to donate online the Dublin Simon Community.
