UK Festival Forgotten Fields Cancelled
It had been due to take place between August 7 and 9.
The UK based Forgotten Fields festival has been cancelled. The festival was first launched last year.
Dizzee Rascal, Kodaline and Seude were scheduled to headline the three day event near Tunbridge Wells in the south of England. Organisers released a statement online overnight.
In it they state that the "rising costs of producing a quality event of this size" has forced them to cancel this year's festivities. "After thorough consideration of the event and exhausting all options we have sadly reached this conclusion". The event was intended to cater for up to 4000 people who will now have refunds issued to them. Alternatively ticket holders can arrange to swap a Forgotten Fields ticket for a Standon Calling one. Standon Calling takes places in Hertforshire between July 29 and 31 with Jess Glynne and Seude headlining.
This is not the only festival to cancel its event this year. Earlier this month the Ravelóid Irish language music festival released a statement saying it would not be going ahead due to a number of "production factors". It has been postponed until further notice.
