UK consumers plough through Snow Patrol stock
With high-profile fans and a rising chart position for their new single, Snow Patrol is very much in demand
Good news from Blighty where Snow Patrol's 'Run' is number 4 in the mid-week singles chart.
The demand for the record has been so great that many shops have sold-out – something which could work against the boys when it comes to their end-of-week position.
Even if it does slip from its current lofty perch, the single's success bodes well for the re-issued version of Final Straw due on February 2 and endowed with two extra tracks, 'We Can Run Away Now They're All Dead And Gone' and 'Half The Fun'.
Bona fide pop star that he now is, Gary Lightbody was summonsed to Pink's Top Of The Pops dressing-room and told by the loudly-coiffed one that Final Straw was her favourite album of 2003.
Add in some blatant flirting with Cat Deely on CD:UK and we wouldn't be surprised if he never talks to the lowly likes of us again. Sniff.
