U2 extend their run at the Sphere in Las Vegas
Due to 'unprecedented demand' the Irish rock group U2 are set to extend their residency for another 11 shows at the $2.3 billion venue
Irish rock legends U2 have announced an additional 11 dates for January and February next year for their U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere residency in Las Vegas.
The news follows huge demand after the band's nine record breaking and acclaimed performances.
The show – U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere – began on September 29 and was scheduled to run until December 16, however due to at the hi-tech venue and brings the run to a total of 36 dates.
The band are reported to be guaranteed $4 million per show.
U2 will now play Friday, January 26, Saturday, January 27, Wednesday, January 31, Friday, February 2, Saturday, February 3, Wednesday, February 7, Friday, February 9, Saturday, February 10, Thursday, February 15, Saturday, February 17 And Sunday, February 18.
The band launched U2:UV Achtung Baby Live At Sphere on 29 September 29 to rave reviews with critics declaring the show to be "a quantum leap forward for concerts" and "an utterly astonishing, admirably raw Vegas extravaganza.
