the 140 character-forming interview...
@hotpress: We hear you’ve been working in Rome of late. What’s going on over there?
@bronaghgall: I’m doing a pilot for Showtime with Ridley Scott. It’s about The Vatican. Hopefully it gets commissioned.
@hotpress: Who else is in it with you?
@bronaghgall: Bruno Ganz plays the Pope. Kyle Chandler plays one of the cardinals. Anna Friel is in it too. It’s great.
@hotpress: Is it difficult to balance between music and acting?
@bronaghgall: It’s just about allocating time to each one, and staying proactive in order to keep each of them buoyant.
@hotpress: The Commitments is being made into a stage production. Have you been asked to star?
@bronaghgall: I think I’m probably 20 years too old at this stage! Bernie was 15 or 16 in the film, and I’m no spring chicken now.
@hotpress: You’ve appeared in lots of stage productions. Do you prefer that to on-screen acting?
@bronaghgall: I love both. Once it’s a good piece of writing then you don’t mind either way.

@hotpress: Have you ever thought about writing for screen or stage yourself?
@bronaghgall: Songwriting is my thing. But it’s definitely something I’ve thought about. It might happen. You never know!
@hotpress: Derry is the City of Culture this year. What do you hope the people take from it?
@bronaghgall: I’m hoping that the legacy of it instills a confidence in them to go and do things themselves.
