Dublin contemporary R&B/pop artist Nassim has kickstarted his music career with debut single 'ILLUSIONS', which was shared last Friday.

'ILLUSIONS' is Nassim’s distinctive first track, exploring a friend's betrayal and the shattered glass realisation that your perception of them is merely an illusion.

With the combination of hip-hop and trap drums, heavy 808s and modern synths and pads; the song is counterbalanced by Nassim's emotive R&B/pop vocals dominating the song.

"The song was written at a time when someone really close to me showed me their true colours and a side to them that I had never seen before," Nassim explains. I realised that I actually just had a false perception of them all along - which is where the title 'ILLUSIONS' came from."

Nassim's music is styled and crafted by dynamic and raw yet polished vocals, soundtracked by a synthesis of contemporary R&B, pop and hip-hop productions. He plans on exploring crossing the boundaries between various styles, genres and productions in future releases as he evolves as an artist.

“I just want my music to do something for the people who listen to it and to take them away to wherever it is they want to go to while listening to it," the emerging act adds. "Once my music makes an impact on people and makes them feel something, whether it be them coming to my concert to ‘turn up’ or getting in their feelings at home, I’m happy.”

Growing up with an Irish mother and North African father massively contributed to his scope of music and his appreciation of its many styles and genres that were played on a day-to-day basis.

With music lovers as parents and musical theatre performers as sisters, his love and respect for music was inevitable. His debut release is an exciting first step for Nassim - watch this space...
