Three priests sign music contract
Northern Irish priests sign £1m contract with Sony BMG
Three parish priests, from the diocese of Down and Connor in Northern Ireland, have signed a £1 million contract with Sony BMG.
Known as The Priests, Fr. Eugene O' Hagan, 48, his brother Martin, 45, and Fr. David Delargy, 44, have vowed to donate the money they made themselves to charity. However, the priests made sure there was a special clause in their contract that allows them to leave promotional duties to deal with parish issues, such as funerals.
The Priests have been singing since their school boy days at St. MacNissi's College, Co Antrim. They even earned the name Holy Holy Holy, as they had decided at a young age to enter the priesthood.
Nick Raphael, managing director of Epic Records, part of Sony BMG, said: "Their voices are incredible. I'm extremely excited. They're going to be wonderful global superstars."
