The Thrills support U2 in the States
The Thrills were involved in a hi-tech disappearing act last week.
Visitors to their official website on Thursday were regaled with the news that Conor Deasy and co have been co-opted on to the latest leg of U2’s Vertigo world tour.
Read the posting: “The band are flying over to the States at the beginning of September to support U2 on their tour of Canada and the US for a month.”
It then went on to list nine dates in four cities, north and south of the border.
By the end of the day the announcement had been removed, presumably because the Dubliners had jumped the gun.
Hotpress.com understands that the dates are a definite goer, with Keane, Arcade Fire, Kany West, My Chemcal Romance and Dashboard Confessional also expected to hook up with Bono & Co. as they work their way around the continent.
U2/The Thrills dates, we're sure, are the following:
Mon 12 Sept - Toronto Air Canada Centre
Wed 14 Sept - Toronoto Air Canada Centre
Thurs 15 Sept - Toronto Air Canada Centre
Sat 16 Sept - Toronto Air Canada Centre
Tues 20 Sept - Chicago United Centre
Wed 21 Sept - Chicago United Centre
Fri 23 Sept - Minneapolis Target Centre
Sun 25 Sept - Milwaukee Bradley Centre.
