The Strypes Announce Special Guests for Whelans' Xmas shows
The Strypes have announced the special guests for their Whelans shows as part of their 'Spitting Image' tour.
Formed by four friends in Cavan, The Strypes have performed at many of the major clubs and festivals of Ireland, England and Europe since 2011.
They signed a record deal in December 2012 with Mercury Records (now known as Virgin EMI) and released their debut album, Little Victories.
Their new album Spitting Image was released this year, featuring a sound that has shifted drastically toward New Wave influences.
Since it's release this year, The Strypes have played a series of venues across the globe, stopping off for shows at various festivals including Isle Of Wight in the UK to the Fuji Rock Festival, Japan.
The Strypes Whelans show times this christmas are as follows,
December 21st evening show– special guests Brand New Friend
December 22nd All Ages Matinee show - special guests Powpig
December 22nd evening show – special guests Thumper
All the supporting acts are Irish, with Brand New Friend hailing from Belfast, Powpig being from Limerick and Thumper from Dublin.
