Pop act The Saturdays have confirmed a live date in Thurles, the hometown of Irish band member Una Healy.

The five-piece, who formed in 2007, sold out an arena world tour at the end of last year - it saw them perform at Dublin's O2. On June 3, the band will take to the Thurles Greyhound Stadium for a one-off show.

David O’Mahony of Kennedy’s Live Promotions said, “The Saturdays are one of the most successful pop acts of the past decade and we are thrilled to be bringing them to Thurles. Una and her band mates are really looking forward to playing their debut concert in her home town. The incredible atmosphere that is already surrounding what promises to be a spectacular performance will make it the stand-out music event of 2012!”
