This LA trio have been knocking around on the hip-hop scene for nearly ten years. The Platform is their first major label release.
Their brand of hip-hop is the old style one, and should appeal to traditionalists. It's bass-driven, melodic and with that unmistakable West Coast flavour. There is some great rapping here, and the album flows evenly throughout. It's tightly produced and has no big dips anywhere.
You cannot fault The Platform on style, but at times it feels less than engaging.

It's almost too even, and not particularly original. However, for clubbing or as a party soundtrack, it will do nicely.
