The Paper Kites enlist Rosie Carney for 'By My Side'
The critically acclaimed and internationally lauded quintet are slowly unfurling their fifth studio album.
Melbourne indie-folk band The Paper Kites are following up 2018's stellar On The Corner Where You Live with a star-studded new album called Roses. Highly anticipated, the record will feature Lucy Rose, Julia Stone, and Aoife O'Donovan, among a host of guest artists. Today, they released the album's second single, 'By My Side', featuring Irish singer-songwriter Rosie Carney.
The Roses vocalists were handpicked by the band themselves to feature on the forthcoming album. “It was first and foremost about finding the voices and artists we felt were right for each song,” says lead singer Sam Bentley. The track is a testament to understated, beautifully restrained songwriting.
