The New Pornographers share new single 'Pure Sticker Shock"
Their upcoming 10th studio album, The Former Site Of, will be released on March 27.
The New Pornographers have released their new single 'Pure Sticker Shock'.
The track comes as the third release off their upcoming album The Former Site Of, out March 27. The first single, 'Ballad of The Last Pay Phone' came out in April, with 'Votive', coming out last month.
“This song is not about a specific event, but it has felt very 'applicable' to me and this year of my life,” shares frontman A.C. Newman. “It basically asks the question 'What has worth? Who is deciding?' Your market value is not always your value."
The New Pornographers formed in Canada in 1997, and are made up of Newman, Neko Case, John Collins, Kathryn Calder, Todd Fancey, and are most recently joined by Rolling Stones drummer Charley Drayton. They are known for noughties indie-rock albums such as Twin Cinema and Challengers.
They will kick off their US tour in April, with support set to come from Will Sheff, frontman of indie-rock band Okkervil River.
