The Midnight announce a show at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre in October
The synthwave band has recently released a graphic novel inspired by their music, The Midnight: Shadows.
The Midnight have announced a show at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on October 12.
Presale begins tomorrow at 10 a.m., with general sales starting on February 21 at 10 a.m.
The group includes Atlanta singer-songwriter Tyler Lyle and Danish producer, writer and singer Tim McEwan.
“Tim comes from a different culture, different taste, different sort of musical firmament,” said Lyle. “What we have in common is that we like good songs.”
Lyle started off playing folk music in the American South, leading the choir in his small town’s church. After moving to Paris after high school, Lyle settled in Atlanta to pursue music. He gained attention from record labels, becoming a lyric writer for musicians in Los Angeles.
Lyle was introduced to McEwan during a studio session, and the meeting sparked instant creativity. In a matter of hours, the two had written ‘We Move Forward,’ a track off their debut EP Days of Thunder.
The concert in October will feature a live band, including Lelia Broussard on bass, Royce Whittaker on guitar and Justin Klunk on saxophone and synth.
The Midnight haven’t released music since their last single ‘Chariot’ in September of 2024. They plan on dropping their new song ‘Love is an Ocean’ on February 21.
Tickets for their Dublin show and other tour dates will be available here.
