Debut album from the well-known singer and retired policeman this is something of a quiet gem. The combination of Doyle’s warm, fragile voice and the appropriately low-key arrangements on songs like ‘The Flower Of County Down’ ‘Henry Joy McCracken’ and ‘The Shores Of Lough Bran’ make this a highly enjoyable collection.
