The Handsome Family set for Vicar Street

Having already released ten albums since they began recording music back in 1994, the husband and wife duo of Brett and Rennie Sparks became visible to millions when their song 'Far From Any Road' was used as the opening theme for HBO show True Detective.

Youtube counts for The Handsome Family’s hit song climbed from two million to twenty million in a matter of weeks and the song occupied spots in the top 10 in US and UK Spotify charts as well as spending months in iTunes top 100 in countries as far-flung as Vietnam, South Africa, and the Ukraine.

2016 brought the release of Unseen— 10 songs by a couple both world-famous and happily invisible.

Unseen is about the light that emanates from things we can’t see— behind “The Red Door,” in the empty hands of blackjack losers (“The Silver Light”), and amidst desert bones bleaching in the sun (“King of Dust”).

The Handsome Family will play Vicar St on April 27.
