The Crimea give away album!
Alt-indie rockers The Crimea have made history by becoming the first band to give away a whole download album for free.
Dublin-born Davey MacManus and his Welsh bandmates are offering their self-funded second album Secrets of the Witching Hour as an entirely free download.
Fans can log on to www.thecrimea.net to get the artwork and 11 songs, one featuring Regina Spektor.
It's the first time a band has offered an album for free, working on the basis that a wider audience will allow them to recoup costs through more gig and merchandise sales.
However the offer's for a limited time only as a paid-for CD version will be released on Friday 1 June.
