The Academic lined up for The Button Factory

Causing a stir last weekend at Electric Picnic and gaining an increasing legion of fans, the young band have been making waves ever since the release of their debut EP Loose Friends late last year which included the smash hit and Choice Music Prize nominated 'Different' and their most recent single ‘Mixtape 2003’ which has been receiving significant international support from The New York Times and Radio 1 in the UK.

The Academic will play at Cyprus Avenue, Cork, December 9; Doln's Warehouse, Limerick (10), Button Factory, Dublin (16), and Roisin Dubh, Galway (17). Tickets are on sale now and can be bought at www.ticketmaster.ie or at any of the venues.
