Tegan and Sara announce date for Ireland
The Grammy-nominated indie pop duo will play a date in Dublin's Vicar Street next February.
The sisters were born in Calgary, Alberta and now residing in Vancouver, BC. Tegan and Sara’s career numbers speak for themselves – they've sold over 1 million albums, received 7 Gold certifications, 1 Double Platinum certification, 3 Juno Awards, 2 Polaris Prize nominations, and a Grammy nomination.
Transitioning from acoustic roots to indie rock royalty in the mid 2000s, with widely-acclaimed albums So Jealous (2004) and The Con (2007), they began the path of reinvention that continues to inform their creative identity today.
The Canadian twins released their eighth studio album Love You to Death back in June and received high praise for the sisters' songwriting capability and for their ability to reinvent their own brand of in indie synthpop.
Tegan and Sara will play at Vicar Street on February 19.
