Pop legend Taylor Swift has announced her 12th album The Life of a Showgirl.

The announcement came on Jason and Travis Kelce's (Swift's boyfriend) sports podcast New Heights.

New Heights posted a teaser for their new podcast episode yesterday on Instagram. It featured the Kelce brothers along with a Swift-shaped silhouette between them. The text and background were green and glittery orange – the same colours as Swift's new album.

Meanwhile, Taylor Nation (Swift's social team) posted a series of photos on Instagram of the singer donning orange at her Eras Tour performances, with the caption "Thinking about when she said 'See you next era…'"

Both teasers caused many fans to speculate that her 12th album would be announced on the New Heights podcast.

Additionally, fans have theorised that alternate album covers may soon be announced, as a red and orange "T.S." can be see in the background of the podcast along with a jar of friendship bracelets.

The Life of a Showgirl will be Swift's first album after she gained ownership of her masters in May.

A release date for the upcoming album has not yet been announced, however, it is available for pre-order here.
