Tame Impala, Geese, Pond, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard seen recording together
There is speculation that the bands may be forming a supergroup.
Members of Tame Impala, Geese, Pond, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard were seen playing together in a recording studio in Perth, giving rise to rumours that these bands may be forming a supergroup.
The New York-based Geese just finished a run of shows in Australia, where the other three psych-rock outfits are based.
There's been significant crossover between the four groups over the years. Geese opened for King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard on tour in 2024, and Tame Impala has enlisted members of Pond for his touring band. Pond's Jay Watson (GUM) and King Gizzard's Ambrose Kenny-Smith collaborated on a 2024 album III Times.
Geese's touring keyboardist Sam Revaz posted a video of the jam session to social media on Wednesday.
Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker was in the studio in Perth recently recording with Max Bassin, Emily Green, and Sam Revaz from Geese, Ambrose Kenny-Smith from King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, and Nick Allbrook, James Ireland, and Jay Watson from Pond.

Tame Impala (aka Kevin Parker) released his fifth studio album Deadbeat last year via Columbia Records.
Geese took the rock scene by storm last year with Getting Killed, which we named our no. 2 album of 2025. Frontman Cameron Winter was not present in Revaz's post.
As of yet, no official collaboration has been announced by any of the bands.
