After taking over the Irish box office on its opening weekend, A Star Is Born continues to dominate the Official Irish Singles and Albums Charts.
The soundtrack to Bradley Cooper's directorial debut has proven a major hit with Irish fans, claiming a second week at Number 1 on the Offical Irish Album's chart. The album, which contains vocals from the film's two leads, Cooper and Lady Gaga, has also held on to the number one spot for two consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200 Chart.
Moreover, the uplifting single "Shallow" from A Star is Born has landed a second week at number 1 in the Official Irish Singles Charts.
This marks the first time that a song by Lady Gaga has spent more than 1 week at Number 1 since 2010's collaboration with Beyonce on "Telephone".
Two more songs from the re-make's soundtrack have also landed worthy entries on the Singles Chart, with "Always Remember Us This Way" jumping from number 17 to number 8, while "Never Love You Again" takes its place at Number 17.
Elsewhere in the Charts, Little Mix collect this week’s highest new entry with "Woman Like Me" featuring Nicki Minaj at Number 9, which, as it happens, is the group’s ninth Irish Top 10 hit.
Irish singer Nathan Carter continues to rank highly in the charts with new album One For The Road, new in at Number 3. The country singer has proven to be a staple at the top of the Official Irish Albums Chart, scoring five Number 1s over the course of his career.
