Heads up Ireland - a new label is about to launch out of Belfast, called Dreamquest Records.

Speaking to She’s Electric, label head Figure Of 8 says, “Our music policy is basically left-field, danceable electronica! We’re big fans of labels like DFA, Greco–Roman and R&S Records. So far we’ve signed four Northern Irish acts including 19-year–old Derry producer Hylo. He makes everything from disco to future techno. George Muldrew from Killinchy uses a lot of found sound and organic material. And we’ve also got Nitemode from Newry, who makes darker danceable electro. He is pushing for a more experimental sound for his upcoming EP. And I’m putting out a release myself”.

The label will also be making all of its cover artwork available as limited-edition prints! “I’m already collaborating with a number of suitably weird digital and non–digital artists to make this aspect worthwhile.”
