SOUTH EAST'S ALL-TIME TOP 30 SONGS: Una Healy
We suspect there may be a peppering of Saturdays songs in the chart!
A proud native of Thurles, Ms. Healy won the Glinsk Song Contest in 2004 and 2006, and was then part of Brian Kennedy’s Eurovision band when he came tenth with ‘Every Song Is A Cry For Love’ in Athens.
Although more of a rock head herself, she auditioned for a girl group project in 2007 in London, which turned out to be The Saturdays.
A whopping 18 chart hits ensued before their 2015 hiatus which a little pop dickie-bird tells us may be ending soon. All by dint of Una's involvement are eligible for the South East's All-Time Top 30 songs, which Hot Press and Beat 102-103 are currently compiling.
